Union of Education Norway - Case Study
The Union has members working in all areas of the education system - ranging from kindergarten (pre-school), primary and secondary school level to colleges, universities and adult education. It also has special educational and administrative support functions.
The Union's size and expertise enable us to exercise considerable influence. We participate actively in the public political debate - and are also heavily involved in international work.
An important part of the Unions work is keeping in touch with their members, and to do this, they are giving out Windows Mobile phones to their members equipped with not only REVIVAL, but also the REVIVAL Vote and Feedback plug-in.
This means that apart from a better managed fleet of mobile devices, they can achieve a higher level of direct democracy.
When someone likes to have an open question answered, IT are then able to issue a vote through REVIVAL and since this triggers a dialog on the members mobile phones, this has proven to be a fast way to keep in touch with the members opinions.
REVIVAL also means increased security and control, as well as an easy way to get the correct settings to each phone. Since all members are using mobile e-mail, making sure that they have the correct settings for mobile e-mail is a task that is greatly simplified by REVIVAL.
